Our History
Founded in 1992 by interior designer Kathleen Powers, K. Powers & Company has evolved from a small
flooring company serving the design trade to a full service boutique meets showroom offering
Long before it was fashionable, Kathleen has been a proponent for wool carpeting and the use of natural
fibers and offers products in her showroom that are environmentally friendly and sustainably sourced.
As a leader in the New England design community, Kathleen has served as Treasurer, President-Elect and
President of IFDA (International Furnishings and Design Association, NE Chapter) and as Director at Large to the
ASID, NE Chapter (American Society of Interior Designers).
